Another behind the scenes TV Guide Featurette from Apocalypse

Wed April 30th 2008 @ 1:52AM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments

I'm beginning to think that TV Guide Channel loves Tom, they have yet another behind-the-scenes look at the making of this week's episode.

This piece is about the same length as the one I posted last week and there are some sections that are the same, but this time we see more of Tom in action behind the scenes. Also, we hear from James Marsters and Erica Durance and what they thought of Tom as a director.

Take a look, but be warned that it is spoilery so spoiler-phobes should probably give this a pass.

A Couple of Clips from Tom's next Directorial Effort

Sun April 27th 2008 @ 5:34PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments

I don't like linking to The CW's site because I can't always get their content to play and I'm in the US. So, I feel extra bad for the Tom Welling fans in the rest of the world who can't see the content at all.

So, here I'll put up some Youtube clips from the next episode, which Tom also directed, "Apocalypse." These are very spoilery, so if you don't like being spoiled pass these on by until after you've seen the episode.

Here is the extended version of the trailer:

Here is the terrific Diretor's cut which Clark doesn't show up in until the end, but it's just so good. If this brief clip, not even a minute long, is this good, can you imagine how wonderful the rest of it will be?

TV Guide Snippet on Next Week's Episode

Fri April 25th 2008 @ 10:26PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments

Tom was featured in a TV Guide Channel featurette on his next directorial effort that airs next Thursday here in the US, "Apocalypse."

Luckily, if you don't get the TV Guide Channel, someone was nice and put it up on Youtube.

I have to warn you, however, that if you're spoier-phobic you should probably wait until after you see the episode to view this. Otherwise, click the embedded video below. It's fun to see Tom behind the camera and I'm looking forward to the episode. Hopefully, it'll help me forget "Sleeper"...

Thanks to Mel for the link.

New Episode Tonight and Tom is in Vogue!

Thu April 17th 2008 @ 12:07PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments

For those of you in the US, don't forget to tune into Smallville tonight! It's a new episode and it looks like a terrific one, so be sure to watch The CW.

Oh, and did you hear? Tom is in this month's US Vogue.

He's in a very creative spread of pictures that he apparently enjoyed shooting. I've seen scans online, but don't have the issue yet.

There are some nice quotes from Tom. My favorite quote is this one. He'd said he was more into sports growing up, then was asked if he'd warmed up to Superman:

"I've learned to love him a little, sure. He's a good guy. You know, as a kid you think that you can be that. You have all of these emotions and ambitions, and to play them out through this character is cathartic. It's also a lot of fun."

I'm so glad Tom still enjoys playing the character, I know I enjoy watching him do it. There is also some beautiful images of Tom in the Vogue issue, he is certainly looking as handsome as I've ever seen him, so please be sure to pick up your copy.

The May 2008 issue should be out on newsstands in the next few days...

Wrestling Premiere

Wed April 2nd 2008 @ 6:48PM - Cindy - Mark Welling - 0 Comments

Some of you might remember a few years back that Mark Welling made his feature film debut in Jeremy O’Keefe's film, "Wrestling." (His second film, "Circling Serita," debuted first back in August 2006. See the notes on that HERE.)

Maybe better late than never, the film was shot almost three years ago, the film is finally getting its World Premiere. It will preem at the TheatreN in Wilmington, Delaware on April 28th at 7pm. The first screening includes admittance to the Pre-Screening Gala (location still TBD) from 4:30-6:30pm. The cost of tickets is only $20.

There will be a second screening at 9pm for $10. That one includes an introduction by the filmmaker, Jeremy O'Keefe.

If you are interested in seeing the film at either screening, I wouldn't blame if you are (it sounds like a good one), you can find ordering info HERE.

Be sure to order tickets soon, Jeremy's email mentioned that seats are limited and that they're going fast.

Congratulations to Jeremy, Mark, and the rest of the cast!
