Where I Have Been, What's Going On ...

Long time no post - which is entirely my fault, and obviously nobody elses, since I'm the one who hasn't posted anything.
Unfortunately I've had a lot of things to deal with over the last few months, and I haven't been able to spend any time updating the site as I would have liked to. I haven't even had the time to check my site-related emails. I haven't forgotten about the site, and I do want to update it, but sadly real life has a way of forcing your hand sometimes.
Of the few emails that I have checked just today, there have been a lot of great suggestions about getting more people to help with the site while I'm away. Cindy has done a fantastic job, but I can't – and don't – expect her to deal with everything herself. More to the point, the site is built in such a way that in its present form, only I can make updates to most of it; I really bit myself in the proverbial with that one, huh? The best option by far would be to switch the site over to a system that other people can update, but the biggest problem with that is, again, the time required to set it all up in the first place.
So where does the site go from here? For now it will be left as it is, aside from the news that Cindy chooses to post. If I can, I will make small updates when I have the time, but at the moment I suppose the site would be best described as on semi-hiatus. I always said that if that happened, I would close the site completely, because I hate "dead" sites as much as everyone else. But I also know how much a lot of people like the site, so I don't think that would be a fair thing to do at this point.
It doesn't excuse anything, but hopefully this goes a little way to explaining the current situation. And yes, I know, I should have written this a lot sooner!
