Fri November 10th 2006 @ 3:27AM - James - Tom Welling - 2 Comments

Thanks to Steve, here's the trailer for next Thursday's episode of Smallville, 'Static', which aired following tonight's episode, 'Rage'. If you've seen 'Rage' and would like to discuss it, you can do that over on the forum or down in the comments.

Hopefully I'll be able to post up screen captures from 'Rage' in the next day or two.

I just hope Clark dumps that red jacket soon.

I loved the episode "Rage". It was full of superpowers, and all with very little physical special effects. The relationships between all of the main characters were the highlights of this episode. In my opinion, it's the most important aspect of any good story. Every interaction had a solid emotional base that I could relate to.

It seemed as if about a month had passed since the previous episode, 'Fallout', but its pace was still right on schedule with what is happening in all of their lives. The new friendship between Clark and Oliver was gripping to watch as Oliver got to see more of who Clark Kent really is. I loved the way Oliver nudged Clark verbally about getting involved in major crime fighting, even if it was a drug-crazed outburst. I didn't like the mean things both Lana and Lois said to Clark when he was trying to show them his concern, though.

Lois left a pie baking in the toaster oven in her apartment when she abruptly left to go check on Oliver after Clark informed her that he thought Oliver was taking drugs. She was injured by the Green Arrow and subsequently hospitalized in the Smallville Medical Center, yet that semi-burnt pie turned up as her contribution to their Thanksgiving meal.

The Thanksgiving scene at the Kent's was heartwarming and in strong contrast with the bleak, formal, lonely and sad holiday meal that Lex and Lana were sharing. It was, overall, a great episode.
