"Wrestling" Myspace page
Thu October 26th 2006 @ 3:39AM - Cindy - Mark Welling - 1 Comment
Well, I guess everyone is getting a myspace page now. I just got notice that the director of Mark Welling's first film role, Jeremy O’Keefe, has created one for the film, "Wrestling." He's got a 90 minute final cut of the film and is submitting it to festivals and distribution companies.
Up on the the myspace page, he's got a clip from the film with Mark and his co-star Melissa Claire Egan getting a little drunk on a lazy summer afternoon. It's a cute scene and the 'disclaimer' at the end is amusing, so be sure to watch the whole thing.
Look around the page and be sure to look at the pics section, they've got some behind the scenes photos there. Also, if you have a myspace account, please friend Jeremy and support Mark's film.
Rumor Possibly Confirmed
Mon October 23rd 2006 @ 8:12PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments
A week or so ago, I repeated a rumor that Craig had posted over on KryptonSite that Tom was possibly directing the 10th episode.
Let me just say that I've gotten some confirmation and it looks pretty good that Tom is indeed directing the 10th, "Hydro." If true, Tom's sophomore directorial effort is scheduled to air early in the new year and should still be filming.
Again, TomWelling.org doesn't usually trade in rumor or innuendo, but this is looking more and more like fact. Stay tuned...
Vote for Tom!

EW has an online poll that asks "Who is more worthy of donning the Superman cape right now?" On the page I've linked to, they show a fourth season promo image of Tom and a Superman Returns image of Brandon Routh.
I don't know about you, but I know who I'm voting for.
Thanks to avidreader for the link.
'Wither' Screen Caps
Wed October 18th 2006 @ 5:45AM - James - Tom Welling - 1 Comment
I'm so sorry that these screen captures from 'Wither' have taken this long to be be posted up, and that I've been almost completely absent from the site for weeks.
You've probably guessed by now that my computer problems (which I had hoped would be fixed this past weekend by the friendly local computer shop) are still ongoing. What I initially thought was a connection problem – at the time, it was just a connection problem – has turned out to be a problem with the computer itself, so I may have to be completely without a computer for around a week while it's being sent back to the manufacturer for a tune-up ...
I can't thank Cindy enough for holding the fort while I've been away, and I'd also like to apologise to Cindy, Jana, Steve, and anyone else who has passed along anything that I haven't been able to post up or respond to yet. I can read emails, but for some reason I'm having a big problem with getting any replies to go through.
Rumor?
Sun October 15th 2006 @ 8:50PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments
KryptonSite has reported a rumor that Tom will be directing the 10th episode of the new season. "Hydro." An episode that is, apparently, now being shot from what Steven DeKnight said in his blog over the weekend.
This site doesn't usually dabble in rumor-mongering, however it's good news so I'm breaking form here. I hope James doesn't mind.
I'm glad it looks like Tom is making a return to the director's chair, but nothing is official as of yet which episode he will be directing. Stay tuned, kids.
The CW Posts New Trailer
Sat October 14th 2006 @ 9:25PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments
Although it isn't all that much different than the one seen last Thursday after "Wither" had aired, The CW has posted a new version of the trailer, which prominently features Tom in several scenes with Smallville's Oliver Queen, Justin Hartley. Currently, its second from the bottom in the list of videos on the right.
"Arrow" looks like it will be another terrific episode.
Yet Another News Round-Up
Tue October 10th 2006 @ 11:01PM - James - Tom Welling - 0 Comments
My computer woes should be fixed by the weekend, and hopefully things will get back to normal around here once that has happened. In the meantime, here's a round-up of the more important news from the past week:
In TV Guide news, Tom is featured in TV Guide Channel's new 50 Sexiest Men on TV, which will be repeated on Wednesday October 11th at 6:00pm, and again on Sunday October 15th at 1:00pm. In addition, a small photo of Clark Kent and the Green Arrow is featured in the new issue of TV Guide magazine, which you can view a scan of over at KryptonSite.
Also at KryptonSite is a reminder about John Glover's annual Memory Walk to raise money for the Greater Maryland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. John raises money every year through sponsorship and auctions. This year one of the items up for auction will be an afghan quilt, shown being very fetchingly modelled by Tom Welling.
In Smallville episode news, a trailer and "director's cut" for this week's new episode, 'Wither', can be found over on the CW Video Hub. You need to scroll down to find them both. Meanwhile, I've managed to upload screen captures from last week's episode, 'Sneeze'.
Last, but by no means least, People.com has an interview with the guys from Supernatural, in which Jensen Ackles once again brings up that he has "been playing [golf] quite a bit ... because Tom Welling kept bugging me to get out on the course with him." I wonder who wins. Thanks 'Rene!
Teen Reporter Interviews Justin and Tom!
Wed October 4th 2006 @ 6:52PM - Cindy - Tom Welling - 0 Comments
Thanks to an article comparing Smallville with the Superman movie that she wrote this past summer, Julia Waterhous (Oregon high schooler and probably one of the luckiest Tom Welling fans ever) actually got invited to interview Tom and Justin Hartley on a new set built for Smallville.
Read her very spoilery account of the experience here and see a new photo of Tom and Justin here.
Why won't someone read my work here about Tom or my Smallville episode reviews over on KryptonSite and invite me up to gawk at... uhm.... interview Tom in person?
Oh, well... I suppose that will never happen since not everyone is as lucky as Julia. More's the shame.
Screen Captures For 'Zod'
Tue October 3rd 2006 @ 1:22PM - James - Tom Welling - 0 Comments
I'm sorry that the screen caps of 'Zod', last Thursday's Smallville season premiere, took so long; I got them posted up over the weekend, as I'd hoped to, but I'm still having connection problems (and now a few niggly problems with the computer itself, as well) and couldn't actually post about it! Still, at least they're here now, so without further ado here are the screen caps.
If you've e-mailed me, unfortunately I haven't been able to reply to those yet, and I'm not sure when I will be able to. I'm doing my best to get everything working again, but until I do I recommend checking out KryptonSite for all of your Smallville –- if not necessarily Tom Welling –- news. Bad things always happen at the worst times, and the start of a new season is just about the worst time to have a computer on the fritz!
