'Vengeance' Preview

Ah, long weekends. Gotta love those. AOL Television's preview for this week's episode of Smallville, 'Vengeance', was posted a few days ago while I was enjoying a bout of lazyitis; but it's better late than never, right? The clip features Tom-as-Clark looking all down in the dumps about the events from 'Reckoning', and barely containing his anger when Lana starts to be annoying. You dumped him, you silly girl! Making him cry is completely unreasonable behaviour when you won't even play in the barn any more.

I think Lana is crazy as well! I could never give up someone like Clark.

All I can say about 'Vengeance' is "Wow!" It was kind of like 'Reckoning' Part 2.
The irony was not lost on me when the Avenging Angel dangled Lionel from a window and asked Clark, "Why shouldn’t I kill him? He killed my Mom ... what if he killed your Dad?" Boy can the writers tell a good story! That was one great scene. The writers brought in a dark version of what Clark could become if he goes down the wrong path. And while he didn’t save Lionel for Lionel’s sake, I do wonder what the Man of Steel will do when he finds out the truth about Lionel’s role in Jonathan’s death. Will he be so forgiving?
Tom plays angry with such ferocity that it's scary, and then when he finally let go and cried with his Mom at the end ... that was such a moment! It was a really good episode, almost like watching a movie.
