Tom Meets Kristin

Fri July 29th 2005 @ 3:59AM - James - Tom Welling - 0 Comments

At last Friday's Television Critics Association presentation, E!'s Kristin (of Watch With Kristin fame) spoke to Tom about Smallville's quickly approaching fifth season. In her latest column, she shared a few of Tom's quotes, including his thoughts on a young Brainiac ("I'm very interested to see who Brainiac was in his younger years, and I'm very interested to see James [Marsters] without the accent and the blond hair."), and his personal confirmation that he should – as I reported a few days ago – be directing at least one episode of Smallville's upcoming season:

"It seems the pool is empty as far as directors go, I guess, and so they're bringing me in. It will be [my first directing gig]. I'm very excited. At this point, I'm only doing one. I think they're waiting to see maybe what it turns out to be."

Tom went on to discuss the magnitude of the season in comparison to the four that have come before it, and how the relationships on the show will finally begin to settle into their final, ultimate pattern. Me thinks Tom should be at these events more often, as he always reveals a lot of interesting little nuggets of information - and I'm sure there are some not so interesting ones, too, but I won't dwell on that possibility.
